We are a family run local retail butchers, supplying locally sourced Beef, Lamb and Pork located in the small rural village of Earlston, in the Scottish borders the shop is just a stone throw away from the busy A68, Giving it the ideal location for both local and passing trade.

The shop is currently being run by 2 generations of the Cannon family;

Robert Cannon has 55 years experience in the butcher trade, and began working in the shop at the age of 15, and then he and wife Davina bought the business in 1982.

Grant Cannon joined the business straight from school in 1984 and is now in charge of the day to day running of this family business.

Robert & Grant have a happy and close small team behind them, Butcher /shop man David also joined the firm straight from school 38 years ago, Giving Donaldson's over 120 years of butchering experience with in the team.

Our bakery department is run by Jan and this is an integral part of our business, with all our bakery products being baked on a daily basis and our scotch pies being a great seller.

Our core values are to sell a top quality product and provide superior customer service, making your visit to the shop a warm and enjoyable experience!
